Sirius the 'brightest-appearing star', is referenced as inspiration. "Brightest star" is often the comparison used referring to someone who "stands out", with real "smarts/talent". The pronunciation of sirius happen to sound exactly like the word "serious" - characterization of deep thought. - Mind
The Athlete is a person trained or gifted in exercises or contests requiring physical skill. - Body
siriuSAthlete' = 'Mind & body'.
"Lead with the mind and the body will follow."
- Coach Floyd
When we marry the two words we capitalize the ending letter of siriuS and the beginning letter of Athlete for emphasis. At the core of siriuSAthlete is 'SA' which is significant in three ways other than being the initials of its own name -
1. Student-Athlete comes first
2. A serious athlete won't have to be pushed, because they love the 'grind' (aka practice/training).
3. We are based in San Antonio, TX.
siriuSAthlete is a volleyball training resource. We provide fundamental skills development and train high performance techniques. Our instructors are very passionate about what they do, and I believe its for that reason we find ourselves training/teaching more athletes/coaches.
